Our Family

Our family are descendants of Clinton Rowe and Winifred (Creekmur) Jackson.  Clinton ("Clint or C.R.") was born August 30, 1879, in Dearborn County, Indiana.  Winifred ("Winnie") was born January 15, 1881, in Flora, Illinois.  They were married April 29, 1903, in Flora.  Clint and Winnie moved to Chouteau, Oklahoma in 1907.  Clint worked as Section Foreman for the MK&T Railroad.  About 1919, they moved to Miami, Oklahoma, where Clint and his two brothers, Guy and Charles, had a feed and seed store.  They also engaged in truck farming, raising and selling fruits and vegetables such as watermelons.  Next, Clint was the County Agent for nearly four years before moving to Adair in 1925.  They bought the 80-acre Jackson Farm northwest of Adair in 1927.  In 1930, Clint became the second State Farm agent in Oklahoma, with an office in Pryor.

Clint and Winnie had the following children:  Mary Katharine, Ralph Edmund, Norman Delmar, Reba Eileen and Betty Ellen.  Our 2013 Jackson Family Reunion was attended by the descendants of these five individuals and their families.  It was held in Park City, Utah, in July and there over 50 family members in attendance.  Many thanks to our hosts that invited us into their homes for this celebration!
